Dear colleagues, On 28 March, we proudly celebrated the EDPS Long Service Award 2026, recognising the dedication, professionalism and loyalty of our long serving teammates who have been contributing to our company over the past decades. This year, we would like to express our heartfelt appreciation to Ms. Chin, F. V. Agnes, who has completed 30 years of service since joining EDPS as an Analyst Programmer in 1995 and has grown into a senior systems leader supporting major public sector clients. We also sincerely honour Mr. Kam, K. O., who has reached an exceptional milestone of 35 years of service since 1990, continuously supporting mission critical systems with strong commitment and professionalism. &nbsp;Their journeys truly represent the EDPS spirit of perseverance, partnership and continuous excellence, and they inspire all of us to keep moving forward together. At the same time, we are grateful to every awardee across the 10 , 15 , 20 , 25 , 30 &nbsp;and 35 year categories for their contribution to our shared success. &nbsp;Once again, thank you to all our awardees for your long standing support and contribution. Guided by professional craftsman, everyone learned the intricate techniques of piping floral designs inspired by autumn blooms. Amid gentle music and laughter, the atmosphere brimmed with concentration and joy as each duo collaborated to craft their own stunning cupcake arrangements. We were particularly proud to see our own contract staff members step onto the pitch and represent EDPS. As hands wove delicate blooms and sturdy wheats into unique bouquets, the room buzzed with shared stories, laughter, and reflections on the nurturing love of mothers. As we commemorate EDPS’s 50th anniversary, the 2025 Long Service Awards Ceremony was a heartfelt celebration of our enduring legacy and the remarkable individuals who have shaped it. On this memorable evening, we honoured 53 long-serving staff members whose dedication has been the foundation of our organization’s success for half a century.&nbsp;Among these exceptional honourees, we recognized one individual for an incredible 35 years of service and two others for 30 years—milestones that reflect the commitment that has defined EDPS since 1974. To show our deep appreciation, 50 staff members received a specially designed commemorative medal, featuring a nod to our golden anniversary, along with a coupon based on their years of service. Our three longest-serving employees were awarded a distinguished keepsake crafted from 1 tael troy of 9999-gold, symbolizing their vital role in our 50-year journey.&nbsp;The ceremony took place in a warm, festive setting that captured the pride of our milestone anniversary. We were delighted to welcome the families of our honourees, acknowledging their unwavering support as a cornerstone of our success. Our President, Ken Ng, added a personal touch by presenting the awards and sharing inspiring words about our collective achievements over five decades.&nbsp;The evening was enriched by a lively performance from a local acoustic band, setting a joyful tone. Centred around the theme "Vibrations of Wellness: Dive into Singing Bowl Meditation," the event provided a unique opportunity for colleagues to experience deep relaxation and mindfulness through the healing resonance of singing bowls.&nbsp;The event began with an informative session on labour protection and employee benefits. This was followed by the Singing Bowl Meditation session, where participants experienced the soothing resonance of Tibetan singing bowls. The gentle vibrations and harmonic tones helped create a deeply calming atmosphere, allowing everyone to unwind, refocus, and release stress. As the session progressed, colleagues fully immersed themselves in the practice, embracing the healing power of sound therapy. The serene ambiance and rhythmic vibrations fostered a sense of inner peace, promoting both mental clarity and emotional balance.&nbsp;Following the meditation, we gathered for a refreshing luncheon, where colleagues shared their experiences and reflections on the practice. The event not only provided a wellness escape from daily routines but also strengthened connections within our team.&nbsp;As we move forward, EDPS remains dedicated to creating a workplace where both mental and physical well-being thrive. In March 2025, EDPS was proud to participate in the career fairs at The University of Hong Kong and City University of Hong Kong. These events provided an excellent platform for us to connect with aspiring young Information Systems/ Computer Science professionals who are eager to explore opportunities after they graduate.&nbsp;Throughout the fairs, we introduced various job opportunities and career paths through our key clients.&nbsp; We were delighted to witness the enthusiasm and curiosity of Information Systems/ Computer Science students as they learned about potential career prospects in the public sector and statutory bodies.&nbsp;The events were a great success, reinforcing our mission in nurturing future talents and bridging the gap between academia and industry. Celebrating the Year of the Snake!

What an incredible day we had at our 5th Staff Wellness Day of 2024, embraced by the spirit of Christmas! With a fantastic turnout, it was heartwarming to see so many colleagues come together for a celebration of wellness, creativity and connection.&nbsp;The day began with an informative seminar on labour protection and employee benefits. This is followed by a delightful Christmas wreath-making workshop. Surrounded by greenery, ribbons, and ornaments, colleagues crafted their own unique wreaths in a festive atmosphere. It was amazing to see everyone’s creativity shine, and the laughter and collaboration made the experience even more special. Each wreath was a reflection of individual flair, transforming our workspace with personal and heartfelt decorations.&nbsp;&nbsp;After the workshop, we enjoyed a delicious lunch buffet that offered a variety of seasonal dishes. This meal was more than just food; it was a great opportunity for networking and socializing. Colleagues from different teams mingled, fostering connections and strengthening our sense of collaboration.&nbsp;&nbsp;One of our team members aptly put it, “This program shows that EDPS values the health and happiness of its employees. It's great to see efforts being made to promote a positive work-life balance.” This sentiment truly captures the essence of our Staff Wellness Day. &nbsp;

Joyful Wellness Celebration: Love December Wreath Crafting

As part of our ongoing commitment to staff wellness, we celebrated the 4th Staff Wellness Day of 2024 by honouring the Mid-Autumn Festival with Wagashi. The event saw a fantastic turnout and enthusiastic participation from all attendees.&nbsp;The day started with a briefing on labour protection and benefits to empower our staff with valuable information and reinforce our commitment to their well-being. Following the briefing, we moved on to the Wagashi workshop. Under the guidance of a professional Wagashi craftsman trained in Japan, we learned the art of shaping and decorating these traditional Japanese confections in charming jade rabbit and maple leaf styles. This fun and creative activity allowed us to express ourselves while appreciating the beauty of Japanese culture during this special festival. The day concluded with a luncheon providing a wonderful opportunity for our staff to enjoy a meal, connect, and strengthen our sense of community within our team.&nbsp;We left the event feeling rejuvenated and inspired, with a greater sense of camaraderie and well-being. We are committed to continuing to prioritize the well-being of our staff and look forward to organizing more events like this in the future.

The recent Staff Wellness Day revolved around the theme of office occupational health.&nbsp; Lower back pain, shoulder and neck discomfort, and wrist strain are common issues faced by office workers. &nbsp;Our event featured two expert physiotherapists as guest speakers, both specializing in occupational health. They shared valuable insights from a human engineering perspective, delving into common office-related causes of pain and offering preventive treatment methods.&nbsp;During their talks, our instructors provided practical recommendations for optimizing workplace setups. Correct posture emerged as a key factor in enhancing overall well-being. Participants found the discussions informative and engaging. After an invigorating exercise session, everyone had the chance to recharge with a satisfying meal.&nbsp;

At the EDPS 2024 Long Service Awards Presentation Ceremony, we gathered to recognize and celebrate our long-serving staff members.We proudly honoured 37 long-service staff members, each of whom has played a crucial role in our success.&nbsp;&nbsp;Among them, two individuals have dedicated over 30 years of service—an impressive milestone. To express our gratitude, 35 staff members were received a commemorative medal and a cash coupon. The value of the coupon varied based on their years of service, with some receiving up to $10,000. Our two longest-serving staff members received an award made of 1 tael troy of 9999-gold.&nbsp;This prestigious recognition symbolizes their exceptional dedication and unwavering commitment to the EDPS.&nbsp;The ceremony took place during a delightful cocktail party.&nbsp; We invited the family members to the celebration to recognize their vital and unfailing encouragement and understanding throughout the years.&nbsp; We also invited Huang Yang, Captain of Kitchee football team as our award presenter.&nbsp; Guests enjoyed live band performances, mingled over a mini buffet featuring some delightful canapés, with a selection of soft drinks and wine.&nbsp;Thank you to our dedicated staff for their unwavering commitment. Despite the Red Rainstorm Warning that loomed over the city on May 4, our team’s spirit remained unshaken as we gathered for an invigorating Wellness Day. With the theme of “Home Gym,” we proved that not even the heaviest rains could dampen our motivation for health and camaraderie.&nbsp;The day kicked off with an informative seminar that enriched our team with insights into staff benefits and protection. As the seminar concluded, we transitioned into an adrenaline-pumping home gym tutorial. Under the guidance of professional trainers, we discovered the joy of pushing our limits and received invaluable tips that left us energized and inspired. The morning’s activities culminated in a ‘Luncheon Connection,’ where managers and colleagues came together over a spread of delectable cuisine. It was a time to relax, share stories, and strengthen the bonds that make our team unique.&nbsp;In conclusion, our Wellness Day was a resounding success, demonstrating that our commitment to health and unity stands resilient, even in the face of inclement weather. We look forward to carrying this energy forward and making wellness an integral part of our corporate culture.

EDPS held a Staff Wellness Day at the Jockey Club Kitchee Centre in August 2023.&nbsp;It was an enjoyable half-day program that included a seminar for employee protection and benefits, a Pain Treatment Massage workshop, and a delicious lunch at the Kitchee Bistro that provided an opportunity for our staff to connect with our management team.The seminar was an informative session that covered various topics related to employee protection and benefits. The session was led by experts in the field who provided valuable insights into the latest trends and best practices.&nbsp; The Pain Treatment Massage workshop was led by experienced massage therapists who provided personalized instruction to each participant.&nbsp;The lunch facilitated a fantastic chance for our staff to interact with our management team, helping to build stronger relationships between them, which is crucial for the company's success.We are eagerly looking forward to the upcoming Staff Wellness Day and will continue to organize enjoyable half-day programs that our staff prefers.
