What Makes TCON Unique?

TCON jobs are contract-based IT positions supplied by external vendors under competitive bidding. Candidates who meet specific qualifications are proposed to the government, then supervised by their sponsoring company, ensuring governance and professional growth throughout their assignments.

Staff Categories: A/B1/B2 to 6

Opportunities span a well-structured hierarchy:

  • A/B1/B2 (Information Technology Assistants): Ideal for operational IT specialists with two to five years’ hands-on experience. Duties include helpdesk support, network administration, system operations, and can require shift work.
  • Category 0 (Junior Programmer): Suited for candidates with basic programming knowledge (Java, C++, SQL) and experience with collaborative tools, making this role a good entry point for those beginning a development career.
  • Category 1 (Programmer): Requires two years’ experience in application development and technical support, extending responsibilities to networking and troubleshooting.
  • Category 2 (Analyst/Programmer): Needs three years’ relevant IT experience, contributing to system design, program writing, documentation, and technical analysis.
  • Category 3 (Systems Analyst): Four years of post-qualification experience and a background in system analysis and design, resource allocation, and project reporting are expected.
  • Category 4 (Senior Systems Analyst): Six years’ experience, usually in supervisory, quality control, and advanced project management roles.
  • Category 5 (Project Manager): Eight years in IT, including team leadership and full-lifecycle project control, supporting government digital transformation.
  • Category 6 (Senior Project Manager): The top tier, with eleven years’ experience and advanced strategic duties like business process re-engineering, technical consulting, and supervising large teams.
