Manage system development, implementation and maintenance for the Chinese Medicines Regulatory Office (CMRO), covering:

• Implementation of IT Infrastructure and Facilities for Chinese Medicines Testing Institute (GCMTI);
• System maintenance and enhancement of Chinese Medicines Herbarium Repository Information System (CHRIS);
• System maintenance of enhancement of Shared Licensing and Monitoring System (SLMS);
• Formulation and implementation of new IT initiatives for GCMTI; and
• Management of websites, OA facilities and IT network.

Seconded to our clients of public sector to perform the followings:

• Perform IT project management and system maintenance;
• Manage procurement of professional services, hardware and software;
• Manage the performance of implementation services contractors;
• Ensure quality of project deliverables;
• Lead research on new technologies and IT initiatives to meet the business needs;
• Uphold the security of IT systems in compliance with departmental and IT security polices/standards;
• Perform staff management; and
• Any other duties assigned by supervisors.

• Degree holder in Computer Science or related discipline;
• Minimum 8 years post-qualification IT experience with at least 2 years of experience in similar capacity;
• In-depth experience in IT project management and team management;
• In-depth experience in Java web-based application development and management, system implementation, system maintenance and operation support;
• Familiar with the GCIS Hosting Service;
• Familiar with managing and supporting government systems and services;
• Good at organising, presentation and writing skills;
• Able to work in a diversified and dynamic team environment;
• May be required to work in non-office hours and provide 7x24 on-call support service;
• Familiar with IT standards and methodologies such as SSADM and PRINCE; and
• Work experience in clinical related information system is an advantage.
