Provide Windows/Linux server support.

Seconded to our clients of public sector to perform the followings: 

• Responsible for providing routine support to desktop infrastructure including Windows and Linux servers and related hardware and software;
• Responsible for developing and maintaining script (e.g. Shell script, Python or similar) to automate system tasks, monitoring, and deployments;
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issue in Linux environment;
• Collaborate with development teams or vendors to deploy, configure and support application in Linux servers;
• Monitor performance to reduce interruptions and server crashes; and
• Support the integration of Video Management System with Linux-based servers and infrastructure.

• Degree holder in Computer Science or equivalent;
• Minimum 5 years post-qualification IT experience with at least 3 years of experience in similar capacity;
• Experience in supporting and maintenance of Windows Server and Linux Server;
• Experience in programming or scripting (e.g. Shell script, Python or similar);
• Strong Knowledge of virtualisation technologies (e.g. VMware, KVM, Docker);
• Familiarity with Video Management System is a plus;
• Experience with Kylin Server OS and UOS Server OS is a plus; and
• Understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN).
