The Cloud Infrastructure Services (GCIS) provides a reliable application hosting platform as well as a set of shared services for shared use among bureaux and departments in delivering e-services. The successful candidate is required to provide technical advice and support on GCIS virtualization servers, application servers and database systems for smooth operation of GCIS.

Seconded to our clients of public sector to perform the followings:

• To facilitate operation and upgrade of system software under virtualized environment of GCIS Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) and Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS, aka EGIS);
• To provide technical advice and support on the administration, problem diagnosis and performance tuning for application (JBoss) and database (MySQL) tiers of GCIS;
• To perform problem diagnosis and performance tuning on GCIS application hosting service;
• To provide technical advices and support to enhancements of GCIS PaaS;
• To assist project manager in monitoring work performance and conduct quality assurance of project deliverables from outsourcing contractors;
• To carry out other project related duties as designated by project manager.

• Degree holder in Computer Science or related discipline;
• Minimum 6 years post-qualification IT experience with at least 2 years of experience in similar capacity;
• Shall possess sound technical knowledge and experience in supporting virtualization software including VMware 7 or above;
• Shall have experience on supporting Internet application system using JBoss Application Servers and e-Infrastructure Services (EGIS);
• Shall have experience on administration of MySQL database systems;
• Shall have experience on administration of Storage Area Network System (SAN);
• Shall have experience in conducting quality assurance on project deliverables from outsourcing Contractors;
• Shall have strong sense of analytical and problem solving skills;
• Shall be hard-working and self-motivate with positive attitude;
• Shall be a team-player with good communication and interpersonal skills
• May be required to work outside normal working hours for ad-hoc trouble-shooting
