Technical Support for Implementation and On-going Support of the Taxpayer Portal and Tax Portals in the department.

Seconded to our clients of public sector to perform the followings:

• To oversee, design and manage the system architecture of tax portals on the Cloud platform of the department and manage the system integration with other Midrange systems;
• To perform and lead subordinates in managing and monitoring the outsourced contractors to set up and configure various system software and applications for the tax portals according to the application requirements with the required security standards;
• To perform and lead subordinates in providing technical support to ensure the stability, availability, reliability, performance and security of the tax portals met all the required standards for public facing services;
• To review and follow up on the system documentation and inventory records delivered by the outsourced contractors, and supplement any required details to ensure the documents are practical for ongoing maintenance of the system;
• To conduct proof-of-concept and prepare requirement specifications for the acquisition of system equipment and services;
• To monitor the outsourced contractors and liaise with external and internal parties for system/application support on system interfaces;
• To conduct various tests on deliverables from the outsourced contractors;
• Good communications and interpersonal skills to liaise with outsourced contractors and other internal parties for system/application support; and
• Any other task assignments by supervisors.

• Degree holder in Computer Science or related discipline;
• Minimum 8 years post-qualification IT experience with at least 4 years of experience in similar capacity;
• Solid hands-on experience in system architecture and infrastructure design, setup, administration, configuration, enhancement, maintenance, support, problem solving, encryption, security and performance tuning in Linux and Windows Based (VM and non-VM) Platforms, and Container-as-a-Service (CaaS) platform;
• Solid hands-on experience on the following:
  • VMware ESXi;
  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux;
  • JBoss Application Server;
  • Microservices architecture;
• Experience in leading subordinates to setup, administer, enforce security and tune performance of systems according to the business requirements;
• Ability to work independently and willing to work on-site during non-office hours including after midnight and public holidays;
• Good communication and interpersonal skills;
• To assist supervisors and work with other project teams, vendors and/or end-users to complete the required tasks; and
• To carry out other duties as assigned by supervisors.
