This is a CSA position responsible for implementation, support and maintenance of an existing cloud virtualization platform, as well as conducting Proof-of-Concept (PoC) tests and support for implementing a new national cloud platform.

Seconded to our clients of public sector to perform the followings:

• To support different components, including virtualization platform, SAN storages, backup/restore solution, disaster recovery (DR) solutions, etc., of a private cloud platform;
• To support the DR drills and security risk assessment of the private cloud platform;
• To provide on-going technical support to application teams on application deployment in cloud platforms, problem solving and performance tuning;
• To conduct PoC tests and provide support on implementing a new cloud virtualization platform using national products, such as Huawei and Sangfor; and
• To perform any other tasks as assigned by supervisors.
   

• Degree holder in Computer Science or related discipline;
• Minimum 6 years post-qualification IT experience with at least 2 years of experience in similar capacity.
• Shall have work experience in implementing at least one private cloud project with at least 100 virtual machines (VMs).
• The candidate shall have at least 2 years hands-on experience in the system support of following areas: 
  • VMware Cloud virtualization platform;
  • Host servers, SAN storages and switches; 
  • Cloud backup and recovery solutions for VMs; and
  • Windows and Linux servers.
• The candidate shall have knowledge in implementing/migrating and supporting IT projects/systems using the Government Cloud Infrastructure Services (GCIS) or public cloud services, e.g. AWS, Microsoft Azure.
• The candidate is required to provide on-call support services and occasionally work in non-office hours including Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays.
• Candidates with knowledge in Software-Defined Networking (SDN) and/or national cloud products are preferred.
