Development of Automation Management Tool Supporting Disaster Recovery facilities setup for deploying Online Weather Information Services to the DR site.

Seconded to our clients of public sector to perform the followings:

• Lead the development and implementation of automation management tool to help with server configuration and security patching.
• Provide technical support in services deployment, including the API service for open data.
• Liaise with different system owners and gather systems settings, configurations and their data flow from system owners; develop, review and revise their DR plans.
• Provide on-site hands-on implementation support at data centre for the installation and configuration of hardware and software as well as services deployment.
• Provide troubleshooting support in all stages of the project during the contract period.
• Assist the Project Manager in coordinating with stakeholders to perform tests and DR drills.
• Assist in system nursing.
• Prepare documentation and handover with training to department staff.

• Degree holder in Computer Science or related discipline;
• Minimum 5 years post-qualification IT experience with at least 3 years of experience in similar capacity.
• Proficient in Unix/Linux Shell Scripting.
• Experience in web server configuration, backend programs and API development.
• Experience in web application deployment on Linux platform.
• Proficient in PHP, HTML5, JavaScript, JSON, XML, Node.js, MySQL and MongoDB.
• Possesses good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Knowledge and experience using GitLab and Ansible playbooks would be an advantage.
