Job Nature

The Systems and Information Management Section is responsible for supporting the Education Information System (EdIS) - Teacher Information Management Application (TIM) and the e-Appointment System for Aided Schools (EASAS) as a Business Analyst. The EdIS-TIM supports the business operations relating to teachers, such as teacher registration, annual teacher survey, maintenance of the employment records, subjects taught and training records of teachers. Moreover, it also provides a common web portal (e-Services Portal) for schools and teachers. The EASAS aims to facilitate aided schools' submission of the "Appointment Forms" for teaching and non-teaching staff paid out of Salaries Grant. The Common Log-On (CLO) System of the department is the one-stop portal for users of schools and other external parties to use a single set of username and password to log on and gain access to various department application systems.


Job Description

Seconded to our clients of public sector to perform the followings:

  • To man a hotline on school users' enquiries concerning Common Log-on (CLO);
  • To provide professional support to Common Log-on (CLO) and teacher-related systems (e.g EdIS-TIM and EASAS) as a Business Analyst;
  • To assist in compiling, revising and consolidating user requirements based on views/comments from various parties;
  • To assist in liaising with various parties and giving comments on workflow, system analysis and design report/ impact analysis and program/function specification;
  • To assist in confirming system design of enhancements/ issues fixed;
  • To conduct User Acceptance Test (UAT)/ preliminary UAT for enhancements and/or issues fixed to facilitate users' acceptance of the revised programs;
  • To collaborate with technical teams and coordinate user activities;
  • To monitor the progress of enhancements and/or issues fixed;
  • To assist in reviewing and accepting project deliverables.
  • To take up any other duties as required by supervisors.

     

Job Requirement

  • Diploma or Degree Holder in Computer Science, or equivalent;
  • At least 5 years of experience in similar capacity.
  • Strong command of written and spoken English and Chinese;
  • Experiences in handling calls from schools and public;
  • Strong interpersonal, technical, analytical, administration and organization skills with flexible approach to problem solving;
  • Proactive with a strong sense of responsibility and integrity, with self-motivated and detail oriented;
  • Experience in control and operation of computer systems; assisting and preparing documents; supporting IT systems and facilitating communication;
  • Experience in assisting and preparing UAT / conducting pre-UAT;
  • Ability to work independently to meet deadline.
