1. Implementation and Supporting of Web and Application Servers 
2. Provide Database Support for all mid-range systems in the Force;
3. Be responsible for administration and operation of the Database system.
   
    

Seconded to our clients of public sector to perform the followings:

• Design, setup, configure, administrate and support of web / application servers including IBM WebSphere and JBoss / Wildfly for mission-critical web application systems under AIX / Linux Platform;
• Design, implement, rollout, administrate and support the Force's mission-critical mid-range systems including Oracle Database, MariaDB and Sybase.
• Provide technical advice and conduct the system migration of web and application servers from AIX platform to Linux platform;
• Liaise with users and contractors in web application and database system design and implementation under AIX / Linux Platform;
• Provide first line support on a roster basis;
• Apply patches to web and application servers and database, including IBM WebSphere, JBOSS / Wildfly etc. under AIX / Linux Platform;
• Handle production incident in a timely manner;
• Provide technical advice to project teams;
• Prepare system documentation; and
• Provide other services when required.
  
   

• Degree holder in Computer Science or related discipline;
• Minimum 9 years post-qualification IT experience with at least 3 years of experience in similar capacity.
• Solid knowledge and experience in technical analysis, design, implement, maintain and support of mission-critical database and web application systems are required;
• Experience in supervising junior staff is required;
• Good command of both written and spoken English is required;
• Proficient in cloud and/or container management platform is required;
• Working experience in Oracle / MariaDB database administration is an advantage;
• Past working experience in disciplined services departments is an advantage; and
