This position will actively participate in implementing IT infrastructure-related projects.  Besides, this position will maintain and support the existing Laboratory Information Systems (LISs) and other IT systems.

Seconded to our clients of public sector to perform the followings:

• Design IT infrastructure, including network, servers, and server room facilities;
• Ensure IT infrastructure that can sustain the Disaster Recovery strategy and method;
• Participate in the infrastructure procurement process, including tender preparation and proposal assessment;
• Manage vendor implementation of new IT infrastructure;
• Implement new security measures to align with department's requirements;
• Maintain and support new and existing LIS infrastructure;
• Maintain documentation and procedures and ensure they are aligned with standards;
• Provide IT support to end users;
• Manage maintenance contracts with hardware vendors;
• Liaise and coordinate with external parties to design the external interface of LIS;
• Coordinate for and conduct system testing and training; and
• Any other tasks assigned.
  
  
  
  
   

• Higher Diploma or Degree holder in Computer Science or related discipline;
• Minimum 6 years post-qualification IT experience with at least 2 years of experience in similar capacity;
• Solid experience in developing and supporting LIS such as STARLIMS, ECPATH, GE Ultra, or other medical systems;
• Strong project management sense;
• Experience in managing Windows, Unix and Linux environments;
• Experience in vendor management;
• Familiar with security requirements;
• Knowledge of conventional email systems, e.g., Lotus Notes;
• Fluent in English and Chinese communication;
• Self-motivated, work independently and under pressure; and
• Knowledge in HL7, LOINC and SNOMED.
