The Government Cloud Infrastructure Services (GCIS) provides a reliable application hosting platform as well as a set of common services for shared use among government bureaux and departments in delivering e-government services. The successful candidate is required to provide technical advice and support for smooth operation of GCIS environment.

Seconded to our clients of public sector to perform the followings:

•  To ensure high availability and stability for infrastructures of GCIS Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) and Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS, aka EGIS)
• To facilitate the implementation and integration of cloud management platform
• To provide technical support and quality management for GCIS System Integration Team and GCIS Operation Team
• To facilitate patch management of various products in use for GCIS PaaS application hosting
• To provide technical advices and support to the setup of the GCIS PaaS
• To assist project manager in monitoring work performance and conduct quality assurance of project deliverables from outsourced contractors
• To support the ongoing upgrades and enhancements of GCIS infrastructure
• To support technical studies and proof-of-concept exercises for adoption of new technologies in GCIS
• To carry out other project related duties as designated by project manager
  
   

• Degree holder in Computer Science or related discipline;
• At least 6 year experience in IT industry and at least 2 years of relevant experience
• Shall possess solid experience in operation management of large-scale IT infrastructure (over 1,000 virtual servers) with dual-active production sites for hosting e-services adopting Java EE application infrastructure on Linux systems and Windows systems
• Shall possess sound technical experience in supporting 3-tier hosting infrastructure (web, application, database tiers)
• Shall have experience in supporting e-Government Infrastructure Services (EGIS)
• Shall have experience in supporting Storage Area Network
• Shall have experience in supporting virtualization software including VMware 7 or above
• Shall have experience in security incident detection and handling
• Shall possess experience in conducting user acceptance tests
• Shall possess experience in conducting quality assurance on project deliverables
• Shall have strong sense of analytical and problem solving skill
• Shall be hard-working and self-motivate with positive attitud
• Shall be a team-player with good communication and interpersonal skill
• May be required to work outside normal working hours for ad-hoc trouble-shootin
• May be required to work in data centres in Sai Kung, Tsuen Wan and Cheung Sha Wan occasionally
• Criminal record verification by the Hong Kong Police Force is required.
