 Provide support in enhancement of multi-radar 3D wind analysis system, Radar GIS webpage, and streamlining radar data processing from Tai Mo Shan Weather Radar

Seconded to our clients of public sector to perform the followings: 

• A CAP is required to take up the following tasks:
• Implementing new GPU-accelerated multi-radar 3D wind analysis system;
• Developing new 3D wind retrieval products;
• Implementation and testing of relevant Python programming packages for Doppler velocities, including quality control and de-aliasing;
• Assisting in research studies and analysis;
• Enhancing the Radar GIS webpage as the portal for 3D wind analysis and for display of various application products including new radar data provided by other meteorological services;
• Installation of new radar data processing servers and streamlining Tai Mo Shan weather radar data processing;
• Implementing backup of numerous radar products; and
• Retrieval of disdrometer data and products for real-time display and research applications.
   

• Degree holder in Computer Science, equivalent or above;
• Minimum 4 years post-qualification IT experience with at least 2 years of experience in similar capacity
• Proficiency in Python, Unix/Linux Shell script programming, C++, XML and Geographic Information System, web programming, and object-oriented analysis and design. 
• Experience in TensorFlow will be an advantage.
• A criminal record check will be required and the offer is subject to the results of the criminal record check.
