Responsible for network support for Backbone Network (GNET) Service. It provides stable, reliable and high resilience broadband network connections to bureaux, departments, as well as department central IT services. Bureaux, departments and central IT services connect GNET either through Metro Ethernet WAN or via local Ethernet ports to GNET Points of Presence (PoPs) which include the data centres and a number of office buildings.

Seconded to our clients of public sector to perform the followings:

• Provide on-going technical support and network administration services to GNET in order to provide a reliable and robust service to the GNET clients, including network configuration changes, system upgrade, incident and problem handling, etc.
• Provide technical support and advices on network performance, problem diagnostic and network monitoring to GNET support team and GNET clients.
• Support and maintain the network monitoring system, syslog server and alert system for GNET support team and GNET clients.
• Work with the IT security administrator in the team on IT security related issues e.g. external security audit, internal security incident drill, assess the impact of the vulnerabilities on the GNET equipment, etc.
• Need to work outside office hours occasionally in scheduled and non-scheduled manner.

• Degree holder in Computer Science or related discipline.
• Minimum 4 years post-qualification IT experience with at least 1 years of experience in similar capacity.
• With solid working experience in supporting of enterprise-class MPLS network, preferably on Huawei service router platform.
• With knowledge and experience in setup and support network monitoring system, preferably on CACTI, syslog server and network alert system.
• With experience in planning and managing IT security related tasks e.g. security risk assessment and audit (SRAA), security incident response drill, Business Continuity Plan (BCP) Drill, etc.
