Provide Database and System Support.

Seconded to our clients of public sector to perform the followings:

• To manage and administrate production databases, including installation, configuration and maintenance;
• To plan and execute database upgrades, patches, and compatibility testing;
• To manage production incidents promptly and effectively to minimize service impact;
• To handle administration works such as documentation, equipment procurement, data center inventory, cabling, labeling, system heath checking, hardware/software maintenance and bill payment;
• To provide 1st tier support on mission-critical mid-range systems on a roster basis if necessary; and
• Provide other services when required.

• Higher Diploma / Degree Holder in Computer Science or equivalent;
• Minimum 3 years post-qualification IT experience with at least 1 years of experience in similar capacity;
• Strong knowledge and experience in database administration, including installation, configuration and maintenance;
• Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills;
• Strong communication, collaboration and documentation skills;
• Knowledge and experiences in implementation, performance tuning and troubleshooting of Linux is an advantage; and
• Experience in supporting SNMP monitoring and management solution are an advantage.
