Provide programming support to the Community Weather Information Network (Co-WIN), Community Weather Observing Scheme (CWOS), International Cloud Atlas (ICA) and Wall Temperature Forecast Webpage.
 

Seconded to our clients of public sector to perform the followings:

• Enhance and maintain backend functions of the Co-WIN website; 
• Maintain data synchronization of Co-WIN data between cloud and HKU database;
• Maintain and manage Co-WIN cloud database;
• Extract and process Co-WIN data facilitating weather data analysis; 
• Provide programming support to CWOS, and Co-WIN outreach activities;
• Provide programming support to ICA website and e-publication; 
• Develop and enhance King's Park and Yuen Kong Wall Temperature Forecast webpage; and
• Prepare documentation.

• Degree holder in Computer Science or equivalent;
• Minimum 6 years post-qualification IT experience with at least 3 years of experience in similar capacity.
• Proficient in server and application development using programming languages and various development environments such as Linux / UNIX environment, PHP, Javascript and web programming.
• Knowledge and experience in some or all of the following will be an advantage: 
  • maintaining Linux / UNIX server, network programming, cloud service and GIS applications.
