To provide programming support for the development of regional AI-based weather prediction model

Seconded to our clients of public sector to perform the followings:

• Develop and maintain pipelines for handling multi-source meteorological data;
• Build training, validation and testing datasets for the regional AI-based weather prediction model;
• Develop and train regional AI-based weather prediction model;
• Deploy and maintain the model and integrate them into existing operational workflows;
• Provide programming support to visualize the model outputs to facilitate decision making;
• Conduct model verification against observations and existing numerical weather prediction products, and support continuous improvement of model performance;
  
  
  
  
   

• Higher diploma holder or above majoring in Information Technology (IT), or equivalent;
• Minimum 1 years of experience in relevant IT field is preferable
• Proficiency in AI model development, training and evaluation; completion of coursework in artificial intelligence and deep learning with a solid foundation in related concepts; familiarity with frameworks such as PyTorch/TensorFlow.
• Proficiency in scientific and visualization toolkits, such as NumPy, Pandas and matplotlib.
• Proficiency in GIS.
• Experience in version control tools such as Gitlab or GitHub
• Genuine interest in weather forecasting and meteorology.
• Good command of English.
• A criminal record check will be required and the offer is subject to the results of the criminal record check.
