To provide on-going system maintenance support to servers of Hongkong Post and to maintain, enhance and upgrade the existing server infrastructure 

Seconded to our clients of public sector to perform the followings: 

• To be in charge for the on-going system maintenance support and hand-on installation/configuration to servers of different hardware (including Enterprise grade servers, blade systems, SAN storages, Fiber Channel switches, backup tape library, 100Gbps ethernet infrastructure and etc.) and different operating system platforms (including Windows, Linux, vSphere, Hyper-V);
• To perform regular Windows Patching and software delivery through Microsoft SCCM;
• To monitor the servers' healthiness, resources utilization, different kinds of services like Java, Oracle DB, Microsoft SQL DB and etc. through ManageEngine Application Manager, VMware vSphere and Microsoft SCVMM;
• To evaluate impact of server software installation, distribution, patching and updating;
• To co-ordinate with database teams, application teams and vendors for proper scheduling of system installation and maintenance works;
• To provide first-line and second-line standby on-call support of servers which may be caused by environmental issues, server hardware and/or system software problems; 
• To assist IT team to handle administration works such as documentation, procurement, hardware/software inventory updating, bill payment and filing; and
• To supervise junior sub-ordinates in handling the above tasks.
   

• Degree holder in Computer Science, equivalent or above;
• Minimum 3 years post-qualification IT experience with at least 1 years of experience in similar capacit
• Solid knowledge and good technical skill in supporting VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V virtualization infrastructure, Microsoft Software-Defined Storage, Microsoft Windows Server, Microsoft System Center including SCCM/SCVMM, Microsoft Remote Desktop Service, Symantec Endpoint Protection, Veeam Backup and Replication 12;
• Solid knowledge and good technical skill in supporting SAN Storages through interfaces such as 6/12G SAS, 1/10/25/40/50/100G iSCSI and 8/16/32/64G Fiber Channel (FC);
• Experience in supporting Microsoft SQL database, Oracle database, Oracle RAC, , Linux (Red-hat, Ubuntu) is an advantage;
• Good communication and skills, both written and verbal, in Chinese or English;
• Good coordination skills in handling tasks with team members and other parties;
• May require to work in irregular hours; and
• Criminal record check is required.
